This volume completes the heroic studies of Ursula and Dieter Hagedorn, who have devoted 41 years of scholarly labour to the ancient catenae on Job. The three volumes of text were welcomed in ThLZ 127 (2002), 412.

This fourth volume merits no less admiration. It offers an invaluable index of names and of Greek words, some being unusual (though I have not noticed addenda lexicis). A chapter translates the fragments of Polychronios of Apamea, brother of Theodore of Mopsuestia. A second chapter records the matter from the Alexandrian deacon, Olympiodoros, which invites the question wether this is the author whose sombre ideas are reprinted in Migne (PG 93).
