Diese Monographie stellt die Veröffentlichung der Doktorarbeit des indischen Neutestamentlers und Priesters Jacob Chanikuzhy dar, aufgrund derer er 2004 an der Katholischen Universität Leuven in Belgien promoviert wurde. Es geht C. um die Deutung Jesu als des eschatologischen Tempels in der johanneischen Tempelak-tionsperikope (Joh 2,13–22). Das Buch besteht aus vier Kapiteln, umrahmt von einer Einführung (»General Introduction«, 1–5) und einer Zusammenfassung der erreichten Ergebnisse (»General Conclusion«, 397–407): 1.
